If only Walter Cronkite could read the News again, would you believe it?
Oh sorry, Walter is not with the Huffington Post so why would you? After all he actually was paid money to be a journalist. Call us @Nujobi naive but there was something of great value in a person you can trust that delivered the News so many years ago. The audiences of past wanted to trust someone in the middle of the disruptive decade of the 60's.
[[Nujobi is a media company focused on sydicating content to the new content engines such as Netflix. Nujobi operates a News and content marketplace connecting content creators and publishers efficiently. We build technology that deploys new and traditional publishers to the tablet and future digital screens. All content gets a fair opportunity in a fair marketplace that weighs the best value for both sides of media buying equation. Our technology and serviced media publishers generate advertising revenue and our customer generated content becomes more valuable as we serve more sides of the media distribution paradigm.]]
So I guess that is why Nujobi.com was created to be disruptive in a disruptive time. We think that people are hungry for trust and not very different today. Call Nujobi.com a test tube marketplace for journalists and the next trusted sources, we believe there may be many. We also believe that the "human" objective computer is best to deliver the News, after all you cannot teach compassion or passion to a computer. We also recognize that the traditional News business has been in decline for a long time. Uncompensated reporting or algorithmic reporting represent the value of their cost.
Writing on this subject today is particularly important. I encountered four very important bits of information that knocked me over and should knock everyone over that is concerned for humanity today.
First I had the opportunity to see a very interesting description of a start-up in the News space.
Narrative Science transforms data into stories and insights. Our proprietary artificial intelligence authoring system, Narrwhal, produces reports, articles, and summaries that are automatically created from structured data sources. Narratives are created in multiple formats, including long-form articles, headlines, Tweets and business reports helping customers save time and money by combatting data overload, time constraints, cost restrictions and scale issues.
Second, I attended a start-up breakfast in Brooklyn, NY this morning. I asked a few simple questions regarding "What value do current start-ups bring to society" and was meet with some very angry defensive comments. Past experience has shown that when people become so angered over a question there usually is something to hide.
Third I had the privilege of spending some time with the head of compliance at one of the trading markets whom happened to be visiting NYC. They expressed to me their concern that corruption in the markets was so deep and was strategically not reported by the media their only commentary was, "Lets just hope that God can step in".
Modus tollens .......Modus vivendi ???
