NYC and NUJOBI

Trying to manage a full perspective on where the Nujobi business model stands takes a view outside of my own world. What I think might be important , may actually not be. In terms of why I created Nujobi, here are my thoughts.
One thing for sure people definitely want a voice , hence the massive success of Twitter. Twitter is the newest example of people looking to the internet to get a little control back into their lives.

After another Sunday of NFL football where a majority of men and women find the necesary distractions to continue on in their lives and suffocate stress with joining the team, drinking, betting, and eating. Most people are definitely set for the week ahead.
This Monday will be a big celebration for The Big Blue in NYC since they won their game yesterday. Few people on the streets realize the potential for major disruption to their lives that is likely to come from the collapse of the Euro and or Dollar. As a matter of fact most Americans feel isolated , as they should, until the problems directly affect them and their family. More and more people are taking the approach of complacency going through the motions at work just trying to get through another day and back to their homes , their food, their drink, and hay just a few more days till another playoff game.

At Nujobi I see it differently, I see and feel something coming, It's not good. Venture capitalists are now viewing mental illness as the next big arena for profit, and no wonder. As exemplified by the following email I received from Sramana Mitra sramana@sramanamitra.com

Here are a few lines that was recently in an email sent to me by this venture capital opportunist. The intellectuals have taken over the world so look out!

"In my 15+ years in Silicon Valley, I have observed the evolution of few $100B+ market opportunities. Today, I am going to draw your attention to one that could be exactly what the doctor ordered for the stagnating economies of US and Europe. There has always been a stigma around mental illness. Yet, 10 percent of the U.S. population is mentally ill. And if you extrapolate from that number, it is conceivable that worldwide, 700 million people are mentally ill."

So what does this have to do with Nujobi

Nujobi.com , the website and the app for Android and for Iphone are intended to be proactive tools not reactive tools to avoid further decay of journalism and further development of mental illness Yes I am saying that "work is a cure" to mental illness. The main difference between Twitter and Nujobi is that you really have to WORK to put together good salable content. Twitter is great for the simple "I said It" but Nujobi is great for "I worked hard for it , here it is, good content, pay me!"
I hope we are on the right track. I will be working NYC to do some journalism work and also to build some traction by meeting with potential partners, and journalists. Nujobi is a Job Creator and I think teaching people how to use the software is my job.
Thanks, Mark Nejmeh
